“Q: When Does The Belonging Start?” Zine Launch at The Workman’s Club, Sunday 9th November

The Late David Turpin, M. SORD, Segrasso, Christian Collins and Maija Sofia make up an fantastically diverse gang to provide musical entertainment for the launch of zine, “When Does The Belonging Start?” . Singer-songwriter Maija Sofia is a must-see for the evening; her lyrics are at once heartbreakingly and soothingly honest, full of pain, fear and desire, manifesting in incredibly well-written songs. Paired with a breathy voice that is somehow both fragile and powerful, the songs have a strong emotive pull. Oh yeah, and if that wasn’t enough to draw you in, the five euro door fee also includes a copy of the zine.
The Zine is a collection of pictures and words orchestrated by Saul based around the number nine and the vague feeling of not belonging. It is released four times a year and this bash is to celebrate the seventh issue.
Always an evening of tremendous fun, this ziney giggy night will end with a rousing bout of Workman’s Karaoke.
