WHAT’S ON 1ST TO 4TH MAY
Boddika is the solo project of Al Green (a.k.a. Al Bleek) who, together with Damon Kirkham (Kid Drama) as Instra:mental, has earned a reputation in recent years as one of the most innovative producers in underground dance music.
Breathing new life into the dusty old hardware of days gone by, Boddika’s sound takes you back to a time when the distinctions between electro, house and techno music were far less apparent. His tracks are built for the dance floor first, combining a fresh take on the ancient rhythms of classic Roland drum machines with vintage synths and modern production techniques, including Techno Vybz. DJ support from diverse selectors like Skream, Loefah, Benji B and Mary Anne Hobbs has seen Boddika’s music mixed with dubstep, techno, electro and juke, lifting live sets with a raw energy lacking in many of today’s overproduced and computerised sounds.
Anthony Parasole should need no introduction to newer or longer-standing denizens of the New York Deep House and Techno scenes. A longtime employee of halcyon, friend of Levon Vincent and partner in Deconstruct Music, and a prominent figure with the underground house and Techno resurgence of NYC, Anthony’s acute selections won our ears right away, and he hasn’t let go since. Known for the deepest sounds of Techno and House and for gracing multiple dance floors home and abroad from Shelter to Berghain; and Djing regularly across North America & Europe.

It is warm, upbeat, energetic and most of all, irresistible: The Egbert-sound.
Egbert VanderGugten is an ordinary Dutch guy, except for the fact that he is THE Dutch techno-act at this moment.
In his loft in Rotterdam, Egbert produces one great dance floor track after another. However, no dance floor can hear it. The only witness to the magic he creates are the four walls of his loft until the Dutch techno legend Secret Cinema (Jeroen Verheij) finds him online.
Jeff Mills is considered one of the most brilliant DJ and producers of techno in the World. He is the most recognized representative figure of the Detroit Techno, where he began his career as a DJ on the WDRQ radio in 1984. He has created with “Mad Mike Banks” the collective “Underground Resistance”, which became a reference in the electro sphere. In 1992, Jeff Mills created his own label “Axis”, he could keep his artistic independence and produce his own timeless electronic music compositions, inspired of science fiction. While he performs as DJ all over the world average 100 dates in a year, Jeff Mills’ artistic career goes much further than techno music. For over a decade, he’s been transcending disciplines with a large number of collaborations in contemporary art.
