Dj, Producer and Liebe*Detail key artist Matthias Meyer hails from the quiet town of Lueneberg, near Hamburg, Germany. As a young, excited music lover, the hi-tech sounds of Detroit and Chicago spoke to Matthias, and encouraged him to seek the excitement and hustle of nearby Hamburg’s diverse club scene. From here he let music take control, actively promoting this newfound scene in his local towns with the Sfunkt DJ collective, organising parties that would bring the electronic message to an otherwise dance-less area.

In his eyes, the great joy of Djing house music is that, unlike in so many other scenes, he doesnt need to play pop hits to get dancefloor recognition. Instead, he can spin a long tale of rolling grooves and evolving, emotive musical stories that provoke a different, inner relationship between DJ and dancer.

As requests for original tracks and remixes flood in, Matthias remains grounded. For him the groove is the most important thing. He doesn’t rush his music, rather he spends as much time as is needed perfecting his art. For this reason he will remain a very special commodity, a true artist and true creator, so that when his music is experienced it will never fail to pass you by.

Fango is a virtuous perfectionist obsessed with mixing bassdrums, recording percussions and sampling drummers. It doesn’t matter if it’s a drum machine or a gong from an orchestra, he will make it sound right.

Described by Michael Mayer in a recent interview for the Guardian as “the most insane Italian since Berlusconi” as well as Marcel Dettmann describing the track Vampiro as “Really straight but I love the atmosphere, it gives me goosebumps!”, Fango’s productions are hitting dance floors across the world a lot lately, mainly due to being played out by the likes of Tales of Us, Jackmaster, Dj Hell, Solomun, 2manydj’s, Mano Le Tough, Agoria, Ame and many more.

With tracks like Wek, Aguirre, Caballos, N1, Vertigo (remix of Cosmin TRG’s track with Tales Of Us), Tei, and Vampiro having a big influence on the current underground scene, Pulse Radio have included Fango on their 10 artists to watch in 2014. His body of work see’s releases on labels such as Hell Yeah records, Kompakt, 50 Weapons and his main home Degustibus Music, resulting in growing demand for Fango’s remix skills as well as his much loved drum programming.

TRUNCATE

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is no slowing down in the near future for David as he continues to shape his own sound, putting Droid Behavior and Los Angeles on the techno map.

Since being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90’s, David has been hooked. At the age of 15 he started DJing and playing out at local underground events and raves around the Southern California area. You would’ve found him spinning various styles from house, acid, & techno.

Over the years his music has gained worldwide attention and onto the playlists of many big players which eventually led him to gigs at some of the worlds biggest clubs including Berghain in Berlin and Fabric in London. He is also now regularly touring all over the world in Australia, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Central & South America, all throughout Europe and the U.S.A.

In early 2011 he started a project called ‘Truncate’ which focuses on the deeper, and rawer side of techno. His Truncate releases have been gain support from big players such as, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims and many more.

ZADIG

Zadig got into the rave scene in the 90s. He made his place rapidly into this growing community and stands out as an unavoidable figure of the Norman scene. But five years of mixing Indus, Hardcore or Acid music finally gave him an oppressive sense of being closed in. Moreover, he no longer identifies with this environment and decides to turn to Techno, a much more basic but also wider style of music.

Highly influenced by Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Surgeon or the labels Synewave, Lost or Tresor, Sylvain is at a turning point in his career.
