For this piece I sketched out what I wanted it to look like, I decided for this one that I would only have the bottom half on show, to express more of an effort of the girl character trying to pull up her jeans that just don’t seem to fit. Like the last piece, I decided that it would be easier for this one to drawn it onto the coloured paper by hand rather than using vector shapes and printing.

I started off by making the pants as it was going to be easier for me to work all the rest of the shapes around the main shape of the pants. After I cut out and measured up all the shapes for the piece and had them all looking in proportion to one another, I then thought it would be nice to add a little bit of detail using watercolour so that it wasn’t just a flat colour for the jumper and jeans. I also thought of making a watercolour background with a wooden effect so it looks like the girl character is lying on the floor trying to pull her jeans up.

After I was done putting all the physical paper piece together, I then photographed it and added a few different effects such as a jean texture and added the hand lettered type. After that I added on the usual stuff such as the logo and the frame and then it was done.
