Girls Rock Camp Fundraiser –

WHEN? 4th May

WHERE? Whelan’s Bar

4 Word Summary? Women rock, end of.

Girls Rock Camp is probably one of the best organisations to hit Dublin in years, and they are hosting a fundraiser which I DEMAND you attend. The non-profit organisation builds the girls self-esteem through music creation and performance, allowing them to find their voice in a non-competitive environment.

The fundraiser will see some of the amazing women on the Irish music circuit, including Pillow Queens, Maria Kelly, Roe and Sub motion. Tickets are €11.50 (BARGIN), and all proceeds will be going into the Girls Rock Camp.

Let’s dissolve the gender imbalance of our festival line-ups, YAAAAS!

4 Word Summary? Art illustration, positivity, acceptance.

The creatives at H&G Creations, Collective Dublin & Cupl have organised an affirmation booth.

What’s that you ask?

The booth is an art installation, interactive experience where people can share stories, secrets, ANYTHING, and in return receive true, positive affirmations about themselves. It’s essentially a confession-booth of love and acceptance, and not preachy religious vibes.

It’s free, and there will be hunreal vibes throughout the day. YOU MUST JOIN US, click here for more information.

WHEN? May 6th

WHERE? Whelans

4-word summary? The return of brilliance.

Their first show in two years is this month, and it is set to be killer. The new single ‘Young Dad’ has reached beyond their fans expectations, and I am unbelievably excited, like, genuinely. Their new electronic twist feels current, yet the core of the band remains leading to deadly vibes all round.

Although it was a long two years wait, it suddenly seems worth it. This is the time for Spies, and I cannot wait to watch the journey unfold.
