The Art BoxBrand Design
We recently provided a branding suite for Aoife Fealy, the IBYE young entrepreneur of the year 2019 for her subscription Art Box. The Art Box is a specifically curated gift box which provides subscribers with a full range of high quality and professional level art and craft supplies to either start them on the road to creativity or add to their already existing collection.
Aoife asked us to develop a brand platform, to create a fun identity while incorporating tangible elements of the ‘making’ creative process. Throughout the design process we kept in close contact with Aoife to make sure we were consistently on the same page and bringing her creative vision to fruition, all the while adding H&G’s fun magic touch.
Working closely with Aoife, a pattern was created using brush strokes and a four-colour palette, applied to all of the tangible elements including the box itself, stationary and business cards. The brush stroke allowed for versatility across all of the elements and the colours can easily be changed for a potential subscription box for children in the future.
As the company is young, Aoife wanted something that could provide longevity and become adaptable over time, all the while keeping the same design elements. We felt the brush stroke embodied this longevity that Aoife needed for her brand. This basic mark is recognisable to children, art world noobies and seasoned professionals alike, making it the ideal template for a “Made for everyone” style subscription art box.
