Heathen a Good Friday daytime celebration hosted in the most hedonistic of customs, in the heart of the city centre. We chose the Pallas Studios, for it’s large courtyard area and white walled gallery space as they adapted to the theme with ease.

Playing with paper, shadow and negative space, we created hanging sculptures to frame the stage/ceremonial area. We invited paper artist Julianna Szabó to construct some traditional Hungarian masks called ‘Buso’. These masks are used in traditional folk festivals in spring to chase winter away. We transformed the venue’s courtyard into a cultural playground and creative haven by hosting our renowned ‘Great Exchange”, a market that showcases the works and wares of some of Ireland’s most inspiring fashion designers, graphic designers, artists and small businesses.

Our guests were treated to unique shadow puppet performance by the Spooky Beor Witches, a depraved belly dance display by Led Belly and a decadent dance by Azaria Starfire herself. It was a perfect way to celebrate a holy day we think!
