Meet The DJ’s; Monsieur Pompier’s Travelling Freakshow x Tall Tales, House of Kitsune

October 12, 2018 – News

Can you smell it in the air? The faded scent of sparklers, dodgy characters collecting wood from wherever possible and the tackiest costume shops popping up all over the city – it’s HALLOWEEN. It is simply my favorite time of year, and I know I’m not alone! Where my spooky witches at?

Due to it being such a highlight of our year, H&G always feel the need to throw a stunningly scary party for all our creative family. This year, we have organised a bigger festival than ever before in a haunted mansion. Themed on the mischievous fox of Japanese Folklore, Kitsune, H&G will be paying gratitude to her femininity, fierce presences and bad-ass nature. Be ready to be spun to the far east, where neon lights will take hold of your vision, and our juicy line-up will have you BOPPING.

As you all know, at H&G we try to offer a little more than your b.a.s.i.c night out. To adhere to our desires, we have created a room of spectacle and surprises including a secret cinema, cuddle puddle, light installations, massage and wellness center and last but not least immersive performance!

Introducing, Monsieur Pompier’s Travelling Freakshow!

What should the H&G family expect from your DJ set?

Freaks, ghost stories, synthesized chaos, whirling waltzes and a cat whose party piece is to pull out her own intestines.

What did you dress up as last year for Halloween?

Last year I dressed up as a fictional character of my own invention called King Strawb. The story of how that character came to be is long and convoluted but basically he was a giant strawberry wearing a crown…
What have you heard (or experienced) about H&G’s parties?

I’ve been to a few of H&G’s parties over the years, here’s a video of me and my friends drunkenly dancing at a masked ball many winters ago:

Last track you listened to on Spotify?

Any DJing highlights of this year so far?

Discomedusa playing “Body Language” by Queen in Anseo in August.

Which musical artists are catching your eye in Dublin?

The noise rock duo who are audaciously named Ireland.

What is your hangover go to? (Please choose wisely.)

Ice tea and painkiller cocktail.

Do you have a mix we can jive to, in anticipation for the big night

Yes! Well, kind of;
