This week I started off the piece as usual and sketched out the way I wanted it to look. I then started with the face as it was going to be the easiest piece to make and then I could size the laptop and all the other pieces around it. After I finished cutting out the shape of the face, I then started on the shape of the hair as I wanted it to be seen near the front of the face to make it stand out more. I then made the little finger at the bottom and painted the nail with coral nail varnish to make it seem like a real finger. I then finished off the face by adding the lips and teeth, and drawing on the eye and nose details. After I was finished making the laptop and table, I photographed the piece and started to edit it on my laptop. I wanted the laptop screen to be as real as possible, while also keeping the paper effect, so i added the email text digitally, and added a digital mouse icon. After that I added in the screensaver background to give it a more digital feel. Finally I framed it and added the hand written text for the speech and title of the piece.
