Working in conjunction with Catapult Event Production, Stork were looking to transform the Cooks Academy on South William Street into a vintage high tea party. We were delighted at the opportunity to turn this conventional cooking school space into something quite special for a few lucky guests to enjoy.
Using very natural and upcycled materials we collected and painted old wine bottles, jars, medicine bottles, old books as well as making a trip to the victorian flower market to hand pick out wild flowers, greens and decorative moss. We created beautiful vintage tablescapes out of old books, moss, golden wine bottles and tea cups full of wild flowers.
We also tried to make the space a little more cozy by lowering the ceilings with hanging instillations made up of old books, greens and wild flowers. The guests enjoyed a session of learning how to bake sweet treats from scratch using stork products, and were treated to a high tea with bubbly to enjoy their hand made treats.
