Interview By Leanne Brady

You became interested in music at a young age, how did that evolve into Djing?

Yeah, I was always interested in music from a young age, I still remember dancing around my front room as a kid to Technotronic – Pump up the jam.

My passion for DJing evolved from this love of music combined with sharing it with others. The first parties/raves I went to, I remember being mesmerized with how the captivated the audience were with what the DJ was playing and this inspired me to want to create this myself.

Can you tell us about your first gig, what did you learn from it?
To be honest, it is all a blur, I somehow got to play electric picnic for my first gig. I was beyond nervous even though there was no one on the dance floor. I do remember meticulously planning my set and soon realized this was a complete waste of time! Since then I haven’t planned anything that much, and I just rely on trusting myself in the moment.

Whats it been like working with Vision Collector? What type of experiences has come from it?
It has been amazing, I feel it has brought me to many new places that I couldn’t have gone without them. I’m very grateful to be involved with such an amazing collective.

You’ve played many gigs here and overseas what has been your favorite gig here and away and how do they differ?
One of my favorite gigs abroad was closing about:blank in Berlin a few years ago, I felt very at one with the crowd and it felt effortless, the energy was amazing. There has been a lot of great gigs in the past here in Ireland, playing before Jeff Mills a year ago was one of the highlights, he’s a hero of mine.

We’ve incredible local talent here in Ireland, who do you admire in the game at the moment?
To be honest most of my friends are involved in the Irish Techno scene and I admire them all equally for all their unique talents.

Whats your music plans for the New Year? Any exciting gigs you can tell us about?
I have gigs lined up in new locations both here and abroad and I’m really looking forward to the year ahead, but I’m really only focused as far as the NYE, where ill be playing at Midas Touch festival. H&G Creations will be running it and they are always putting on parties in new and interesting locations.
